Dr. Avishkar completed his graduation from V.K.Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum. Due to his strong family background of doctors, the exposure to cleft lip and palate patients from an early age and his own experience of undergoing orthodontic treatment, he pursued his masters degree in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics from the same college. He is an expert, trained in the field of cleft orthodontia. The extensive training for cleft orthodontia took place at the smile train centre at K.L.E Hospital, Belgaum. He is a member of the Indian Association of Cleft lip, palate and Craniofacial anomalies. He works closely with many plastic surgeons who are a part of the SMILE TRAIN association and is a member of many rehabilitation teams.

He has presented various papers and posters at both national and international conferences. He has won a national level award for’ BEST CASE’ in an event organised by ORAL-B at CHENNAI, 2016. He has won an INDIAN HEALTH OSCAR for “BEST POST-GRADUATE STUDENT –ORTHODONTICS” in an event conducted in December 2017. He case presentation for a novel technique used for cleft rehabilitation was well appreciated at THE INDOCLEFTCON & WORLD CLEFT CONGRESS, Mahabalipuram, 2017. He has been an active participant in various cleft congresses and conferences.He is a lecturer AT THE DEPARTMENT OF ORTHODONTICS AND DENTOFACIAL ORTHOPAEDICS, Y.M.T DENTAL COLLEGE, KHARGHAR. He is the Chief Orthodontist at Zellene. In conventional orthodontics, he uses the latest techniques which includes CLEAR ALIGNERS, INVISIBLE BRACES and also THE TOOTH COLOURED SELF LIGATING BRACKET SYSTEMS.

His setup is equipped with state of the art softwares for treatment outcome predictions and smile designing. The team at zellene is expert in planning & execution of orthognathic surgeries (jaw surgeries) which are directed by Dr. Avishkar. He has a keen interest in smile designing and has a team of PERIODONTISTS, PROSTHODONTISTS, ENDODONTISTS & PAEDODONTISTS working with him. His aim of providing speciality care to the patients with respect to all forms of dental treatments is possible with his team of specialist dentists. He is an avid music lover and a passionate traveler. His love for bikes is a well known fact amongst his peers and so is his love for food.
